Trying to fight car odor with air freshener?  Ozone will do one better.

Ozonenator uses ozone to remove odors from cars, pick-up trucks, commercial trucks, RVs, vans, limos, buses, and other vehicles.

Perhaps automobiles endure the highest abuses out of all the spaces that have to deal with odor. In vehicles, smells can come from food, beverages, grease, dirt, pets, sweat, water damage, smokers, etc.

Often giving the car a deep clean will help remove the odors in the car.  Sometimes, especially with odors that have been lingering for a while or when heavy smells have penetrated the fabric in the car, it becomes much harder to clean out those odors.

An ozonenator can help oxidize unwanted odor and odor-producing molecules.

IMPORTANT: Too much ozone, at high concentrations for long periods of time (more than a few hours), can cause oxidation to happen with chrome-like paint and glue (headliners and to other adhesives).

How to Treat Car Odors

Solution: Be prepared to allow a few hours for this whole process.  When ready, place the ozonenator on the seat with the airflow pointing towards the center of the car. Ideally, the interior should’ve been cleaned first (and if the seats or carpet have recently been shampooed, it’s best to wait until they are thoroughly dry before ozone treatment).  Lower one of the windows a few inches and run an extension cord through the window.  Set the dial of the ozonenator to no more than 30 minutes (only increase the treatment time when odor remains).

If there’s strong odor remaining in the air conditioning system, turn on the vehicle fan and select “re-circulate” while the ozonenator is running.

Note: Too much ozone, at a high concentration, for long periods (more than a few hours), can cause oxidation to happen with chrome-like paint and glue (headliners and to other adhesives).
